In this step half tap water is needed to be mixed with the half of the distilled vinegar.

Chalk paint or the Acrylic paint, for instance, Heirloom Traditions paint is used and the piece or the furniture is painted with minimum two coats. And the paint is allowed to dry between the coats. Instructions of the manufacturer for the drying period need to be followed, that is present on the can. That specific piece or the furniture should be completely dry before the distressing.

As half distilled vinegar is mixed well with the half tap water and filled up in the spray bottle. When the Chalk paint or the Acrylic paint is dry you need to spray the prepared water and vinegar solution onto the different sections of the furniture.

Now, a cotton rag is used or you can even use an old T-shirt. With the help of this rag you need to rub the pieces of the furniture and this process begins to distress the furniture. But remember not to rub extra hard.
Step: No: 6
And when the piece is totally dried after distressing, then, on the top the wax is applied in order to seal it. All the time, wax is actually not required, but the piece or the furniture looks great and better if you are going to do this.
The process is actually speeding up by using vinegar as it makes extremely easy in order to distress more than water.
